By taking class, learning repertoire, and creatively experimenting with material, workshop participants are offered a flavour of the technical and choreographic style of Ellis Dance Theatre. Teachers aim to give participants a more informed way of appreciating the professional work when seen in performance and tailor each workshop to meet the ability and requirements of the group.
DanceEast's 'boys only' dance education project comes to Ipswich for the first time this spring, encouraging boys aged 7-18 years from schools across the Babergh district to get involved in dance.
This year the boys will be working with professional dancer and choreographer Darren Ellis and local dance artist Tom Hobden.
